Photo Scavenger Hunt - May 31

I got 4 items this week! Water, mailbox, street sign, and a stack of books.

Something new

This past week I decided to participate in a photo scavenger hunt on a photography related message board I frequent. I wasn't able to get all 5 shots/items, but I did get 2 of them (purple and texture) as well as a couple of others. I don't normally take shots like these so it was fun to try something different, especially with all the new plants and flowers in the yard. Did I mention that gardening has become another obsession of mine?

Heather & Chris

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting up with some friends, Heather & Chris, to take some maternity photos. They are expecting a little boy in just a couple weeks and I can tell he is already very loved.
I was so excited to do these! It was A LOT of fun, I hope you two like them. Thanks again for letting me practice :)

Boys are fun.

Last Friday I met up with a friend and her son J. How I love little boys . J is too cute and so funny - he even flexed for us as mom changed his shirt.
Not only was it a fun afternoon, but a great learning experience for me. It's much harder getting everything right outside when light is changing from spot to spot.

Well hello there

I thought I would give this blog thing another go. See, I'm pretty average (i.e. boring) and don't have much to write about, plus I'm not big on writing.Lately my obsession with pictures has been taken up a level or two. If you know me, this shouldn't be surprising. I've always been obsessed with photos. I've finally decided to learn more and that means lots and lots of practice - and there you have the new focus of my blog. So there will be entirely too many photos of my monster as well as anyone else I can get my hands on for practice - enjoy !

P.S. - the watermark isn't there because I think I'm cool and need to copyright my stuff. It's just in case some wierdo wants to steal a pic and do who knows what with it. I'm paranoid.

These were the very first photos that I've taken of anyone besides L and his cousins. I was pretty excited and just a little nervous, but they're friends and it was for fun so you can't go wrong, right? It was so much fun to work with kids that don't get up and run away as soon as you sit them (or him...) down.

Little Ms. B is just the cutest thing ever. And Luke's new BFF. Seriously these two can't get enough of each other, it's too cute.

Little G is a pretty handsome guy himself. He slept most of the time but I got a couple of him awake. I bet he and L will get along just fine in the future too :)
